Chairman

Gary Katz is Chairman of Fusion Physical Therapy Partners and a seasoned healthcare entrepreneur with extensive success in the physical therapy industry.

In 2000, Gary left his role as Regional Vice President at HealthSouth to open Maryland SportsCare & Rehab, which he grew from a single outpatient clinic to over 30 locations, including an athletic training outreach program that served school districts and youth sports organizations throughout Maryland. Simultaneously, Gary co-founded and operated **PT Network**, a partnership of privately-owned physical therapy practices that expanded to over 20 locations across Delaware, Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia.

In 2013, Gary led a private equity investment that resulted in the creation of Pivot Health Solutions, a national physical therapy network with over 250 outpatient clinics and an occupational health division. Gary served as Pivot's first CEO before transitioning to Chief Growth Officer and Senior Executive Advisor, while also serving on the company’s Board of Directors. Pivot was later acquired by Athletico in 2022.

Currently, Gary is the co-founder of Kinect Partners, a healthcare consulting group with a focus in the rehabilitation space.

Gary’s success is driven by his business acumen and his ability to build networks for mutual benefit. He is also an active investor in emerging healthcare technologies and a strong advocate for organizations such as the Diabetes Research Institute and D-Skate, a program supporting youth hockey players with Type 1 diabetes. Earlier in his career, Gary was a consulting physical therapist for the Washington Capitals of the NHL.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut.
